LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO FISH – TRY ONE OF TWRA’S FAMILIY FISHING LAKES

With the arrival of spring Tennessee anglers are beginning to think about fishing. If you fit into this category and want to experience some great fishing, try one of family fishing lakes managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA). These lakes are open year-round and are designed and regulated especially for family fishing.

These lakes have specially designed fishing piers, easy access to bank fishing spots and picnic areas. Some of the lakes are operated under a concessionaire agreement with conveniences as bait, tackle, snacks, drinks and other items available. Most have boats available for rent and fishing is permitted seven days a week from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
